Earth Day...

Today is Earth Day. A celebration of Mother Earth and all she has provided us with.
So in honour of Mother Earth and her providence... turn on all the lights in your home and drive your gasoline powered car, and thank God, the Creator of the universe, and Savior of man, for all of His providence.

But, Leggyloser has brought to my attention that I'll not make any snarky comments. Happy San Jacinto day!!! And as Leggy also said... we should start a count of Texas holidays that got started by beating the Mexican army like a rented mule. Hehehehehehe...

Here, where the land meets the sea. Gen Sam Houston’s Army of 783 men has defeated and put to rout Mexico’s Gen. Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna and his military force of about 1,200 men.
Two Texans were killed and about 30 wounded. Mexican loses were heavy— 630 dead and 700 prisoners.

Houston had 2 horses shot from under him and a rifle ball hit his foot. Hmmm..He's vying for most horses shot out from under him
